A vix cantered into the grounds her flowing mane tossing here and there. Her long tail flowed out behind her like a banner attaced to an airplane. Her silver coat shone healthy and her orbs had a mechivious glow in them. She tossed her dial in the cool air and loped on. She brought her dial back down and tucked her muzzle into her chest. She bucked in the air and reared on her hind pillars. She was a carefree mare....with an attitude. She danced in spot, putting on a show for all those hellions out there. She cast her spells apon them and drew them to her lie a magnet. Her spirit so free, her life so full. 'Where did that carefree spirit go?' Wondered the vix as she trudged on her daggers dragging, her auds flopping. She dully sniffed at the grass. She tossed her dial up into the air. Clacking her ivories together as if something was itching to come out. Something that needed to come out but had not been able to for quite some time. A thought that needed spilling, but that wouldn't for years and years. It was the thought of the past. This dull Vix hadn't always been this way. She had once been the Darkest Queen, her beauty overwhelming but at the same time Dark. She sniffed around som more and finally settled into one spot. She stood there, like a statue. Her bod lifeless. She drooped her lower kisser and hung her head. Her dull grey coat swarmed with the bugs she never bothered to swat away. Little lumps sat on her coat. Bites. Her name had remained unspoken for years, and years to come. www.sandiegohorseproperty.net/GrayHorseGrazing.jpgimagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/PTGPOD/426543~Horse-Galloping-Half-Moon-Bay-California-Posters.jpg

A stag moved coolly through, his look just daring someone to mess with him. A Friesian, that was obvious, but not much else. Optics scanned the grounds. He saw none dark enough. Many vixs approched him, but were ignored. Orbs settled on the gray mare. The hellion moved into a smooth trot, bringing him to the minx. "Lo." he hissed, preforming a small bow. Oh, this brute was darq, but not overly cruel, to dark faes, and foals. Rising, he offered his name. "I am Aries, lead of the Coal Herd. I claim you." Many wondered why this handsome stallion was claiming the minx in front of him, instead of another, better specimen, but they would have wait a long time to get the answer straight from him. "Cursing?" he asked coolly.

{Eternity......} She stated simply no emotion left to flood through her chords. She let the cool wind blow her tassels and banner. She lifted her head slightyl to look at the stag before her. She scanned him with dark brown eyes. The sparkle that had once resided in her orbs was replaced with an empty looking haze. She looked him over and over. Whatever he was going to do with her she didn't care. Eternity drooped her dial once more. She had been beaten before........it was nothing.... She opened her lips as if to say something then quickly shut it. She said all that needed to be said, Eternity only spoke rarely.

"Eternity, a fine name for what I'm sure used to be a fine fae." He walked around to her rump and nipped sharply, leaving a claiming mark "I claim you to the Coal herd."
(sorry, no muse)

Eternity just nodded and stamped a mud-caked hoof. She looked around at her claiming mark. It was probably not meant to hurt but almost all of the mares she had talked to had said it had hurt. Yet she felt no pain. Eternity had learnt to block out pain and suffering, cruelty and kindness, life and death, she had learned how to block out the world. She opened and closed her mouth again and again as if she was chomping at the bit.
{Yessss...} Her once sing-song chords had turned into rough choked words. She made no effort to shivver all of the flies off of her back but something kept jabbing at her as she gazed around the field full of mares that were soo beautiful stags would fight over when they saw her. 'Why did he choose me?' She wondered. With out knowing it her thoughts seemed to travle into the brain of Aries.

"You wonder why I chose you over the others." It was a statement, not question. He followed her gaze to the other minxs, ones that were totally pathetic in his eyes. No other words were forthcoming. Aries tended not to say much, prefering to remain silent, least he give others anything to use against him. Paranoid he may seem, but it was possible that he was actually being smart. He had learned long ago to guard his words carefully.

Eternity looked from one stag to the other. She saw no reason why they would pick her. Probably to torture her. She didnt mind torture. It didnt hurt, it was like a pinch or a needle, the pain was there for a split second then it was gone. But the real pain was in Eternity's heart....or what was left of it.

Aries glared dangerously at White Night. "I accept." Tones were soft, but filled with rage, disdain, and some other emotion that none could identify. "I will meet you at Shattered Peak."
